Essential oils:
Essential oils are highly concentrated, aromatic compounds extracted from plants through various methods such as steam distillation, cold pressing, or solvent extraction.
They capture the natural fragrance and beneficial properties of the plant they are derived from.
Absolute oils:
Absolute oils are also highly concentrated aromatic substances obtained from plants, but they are typically extracted using a solvent extraction method.
This method is used for delicate flowers and plants that cannot withstand the high temperatures of steam distillation.
Essential oils are typically extracted from plant material, such as leaves, flowers, bark, or roots, using techniques like steam distillation.
In this process, steam is passed through the plant material, causing the essential oil to evaporate.
The steam and oil are then condensed and separated, resulting in the essential oil.
Absolute oils are produced through solvent extraction. The plant material is soaked in a solvent, such as hexane or ethanol, which extracts the aromatic compounds. The solvent is then evaporated, leaving behind the absolute oil.
Essential oils should be stored in dark glass bottles, preferably amber or cobalt blue, to protect them from light degradation.
They should be tightly sealed to prevent exposure to air and kept in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Absolute oils, Similar to essential oils, should be stored in dark glass bottles and kept in a cool, dry place, away from light, heat, and air exposure. Proper storage helps to maintain their potency and extend their shelf life.
We package them using different containers such as Aluminum or stainless steel containers, HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) plastic containers, Glass carboys or bottles with larger capacities, and Bulk refillable containers.
